The management team has established a business continuity policy and objectives that are compatible with the strategic direction of the business. We are results focussed and monitor the performance of the business with respect to business continuity through an internally balanced scorecard. Where objectives and targets are not being met we react with appropriate actions to bring them back on line.

We have appointed a Compliance Manager who is responsible for maintenance and improvement of the business continuity management system (BCMS). The Compliance Manager reports to the COO and makes sure that adequate resources are available to ensure the BCMS remains effective.

It is also the responsibility of the Compliance Manager to ensure that the importance in meeting intended outcomes of the BCMS is communicated to the Leadership Team and other relevant staff and that the results of any monitoring activities are fed back to the Leadership Team.

Leaders are routinely involved in the continual improvement activity. Leaders encourage staff to provide suggestions on how we can improve our approach to business continuity. Leaders offer support and guidance throughout this process, coaching other managerial roles in implementing business continuity measure.

 

A Business Continuity Policy has been established demonstrating our approach to business continuity and providing a framework for establishing business continuity objectives. This includes a commitment to continual improvement of the BCMS.
